Founding Tier — nearly full

Burgers got their
global brand
in the 1970s.
Rice is still waiting.

4 billion people eat rice every day — the world's most widely consumed staple food. Not one global fast-food brand is built for them.

Otogo intends to be the first.

global QSR brands built for rice eaters at scale

Now

"onigiri" is breaking out in Google Trends across Australia — the window is open

What McDonald's did for wheat-based fast food in the 1970s, a rice-based brand will do in the 2020s. The category is forming right now. The first brand to establish global recognition defines the standard for everyone who follows.

"McDonald's was built for wheat.
Rice waits for its turn."

Why Otogo

Four reasons to back us.

1

Strong market growth

Rice is the world's number-one staple. The QSR market for rice-based food is structurally under-served at a global scale. In Google Trends, "onigiri" is breaking out across Australia — a leading signal that the category is crossing from niche to mainstream.

2

Proven competitive position

Our Town Hall flagship (Sydney CBD) has been featured in Good Food (Sydney Morning Herald) and holds a 4.8 Google Review rating — among the highest-rated onigiri specialists in Sydney — with strong organic search visibility for "onigiri Sydney". That combination of editorial credibility, word-of-mouth, and search demonstrates that the brand is already resonating.

3

Asset-light, high-margin cash generation

Otogo Holdings owns the brand IP, the central kitchen, and the operating system — not the individual stores. Every Founder Partner store pays a uniform fee to Holdings on their sales. At the Holdings level, this is intended to be an asset-light, fee-based model — a structurally different profile from operating a single restaurant. Detailed economics are shared after NDA execution.

4

M&A potential — the platform play

Otogo OS — our proprietary AI operating system — manages finance, marketing, and HR across every store from a single platform. Our aim is to position Otogo not just as a restaurant brand, but as a brand-plus-technology asset — the kind of platform that can attract strategic interest in global food.

The founder

27 years of craft.
One clear mission.

"We're reviving the lost art of eating to live — a 1,000-year-old Japanese practice called Ishoku Dougen (医食同源): food and medicine come from the same source."

(Sydney)

Mitsuhiro Yashio didn't come to fast food from business school. He came from 27 years in professional kitchens — from the precision of Kyoto kaiseki to building and selling his own restaurant group in Sydney.

Otogo is the distillation of that career: the discipline of Japanese craft, delivered at the speed and price of modern fast food, for the people who need it most.

How we operate

AI runs the engine.
Humans hold the soul.

Otogo OS — our proprietary AI operating system — handles weekly finance reporting, marketing PDCA, advertising optimisation, and HR workflows across every store. It lets a small team run multiple locations without losing the quality controls that define the brand.

But the taste of the dashi, the sourcing relationships built over 27 years, the warmth of the counter — those are not automated. That is what turns a transaction into a brand.

AI handles

  • · Weekly finance & cost analysis
  • · Advertising optimisation (Meta / Google)
  • · Marketing copy generation (95-point quality gate)
  • · Staff recruitment workflows
  • · Competitor review intelligence

Humans hold

  • · 27 years of craft and supplier relationships
  • · Authenticity of Ishoku Dougen
  • · The warmth of omotenashi at the counter
  • · Brand judgment — what we will and won't do
  • · Final decisions and accountability
